If you've recorded in a professional recording studio then you already know there are a few different ways to properly record and capture the energy from a band, musician or vocalist. For anyone new to the environment, I'll explain. To really capture the essence of a band, I recommend that we record the basic tracks as a unit with the entire band playing together either in the same room or at least being able to see each other through the windows of the isolation rooms. It is important to recreate the same environment as when a band is playing live on stage or in a rehearsal. Eye contact is important for cues and to establish confidence and energy between band members. We can record as many overdub tracks as you like once the basic foundation of a song has been recorded.
